(To the Editor of the Evening Star.) Sib,—Please allow me to contradict the statement made in last night issue, re the race between the Wai'oa.and Despatch. The despatch beat the Wsitoa,by one minute to the Junction, and the Waito* beat her opponent by thirty seren minutes to Te Aroba, not' twenty fire minutes j»a previously stated. I la, 4c, Wk.
