WELLINGTON.

Yesterday. A meeting of the shareholders in the Titanic Steel and Iron Company (in liquidation) was held to-day for the purpose of considering the position of affairs. Mr Colliiis, the convener, was voted to the chair, and he explained that he had called the shareholders together at the request of iome of their number. Since the present meeting had been advertised Mr Anderson, the liquidator, had called a general meeting of shareholders, and, under the circumstances it would be better to wait and see what would be done at that gathering. A considerable amount of dissatisfaction has been expressed by the shareholders at the manner in which things were going on, aud they j had good rrason for it," as it was over a year since a liquidator bad been appointed, and nothing had yet been supplied them by that functionary. After some discussion it was decided that no steps should be taken until the liquidator's statement had been submitted. At the inquest on the body of Robert Reeves, killed by a dray falling on him, the verdict was^ one of "Accidenlal death." This day. The mail steamer City of New York, witk the January English mails left San Francisco for Auckland on the 14lh inst., four days later than time table date. The Zealandia with the January Colonial mails, arrived at San Francisco from Auckland on the 19th inst., three days earlier than time table dale.
