Reeves was the only Canterbury man who did anything much, playing a determined innings of 54, which was rery 'much wanted by his side. Cooke bowled splendidly, and no one but Reeves was able to do anything with him. W Firth does not take part in the match, but Chapman, who took his place, bowled with effect.
