WELLINGTON.
This day. A deputation of Chineße, introduced by Mr McColl, to-day waited on the Hon. T. Dick, Colonial Secretary, and handed him £42 la 6d, being a subscription by the Chinese residents here, at the Hutt, towards the support of the Wellington Hospital. The Mayor of Christchurch has telegraphed to Sir Wm. Jerrois that Saturday would, owing to it being market day, be an inconvenient day for his arrival there, and in consequence His Excellency has decided to leave here on Monday, the 19th, instead of on Friday, the 16th.
