This day. Arrived : Montgomery Castle, Captain Harris, 79 days, from Liverpool. At the inquest on Frederick Chapman, the jury returned a verdict of " Accidental drowning," and added a rider censuring the Government for failing to have George street Pier property lighted. It was stated deceased was 28 years of age and unmarried, and intended to join the Ministry of the Scottish Church. The fruiterers are memorialising the Government to remove the restrictions on the importation of grapes. Messrs Dalgetty have received a cablegram with the advice that the meat shipped by the N.S. Wales Frozen Meat Company per Garonne was cleared at the following prices : Beef o|d, mutton 6Jd. The market is weak, owing to large quantities being afloat. In the Divorce Court a decree absolute
was granted in Snart v. Snart, in which • case there was no appearance for respondent.
