The stopes west of the break continue to look well, and a haul of good picked stone was obtained from the reef last night. The reef in the winze was broken down yesterday and showed good strong colors of gold, though no picked stone was obtained. , - DEEP LEVEL CROSS. Negotiations are now in progress between the directors of this company and those of the New Prince Imperial Co. relative to the main south drive at the 640 feet level passing through the latter mine, but a decision has not yet been come to, In the meantime the drive will be at a standstill. The manager will start on Monday with two shifts to drive seaward on the reef lately met with at the bottom level. As soon as he gets in a little distance there or four shifts will bo employed. ALBUBNIA. In extending the intermediate level on Dixon's reef towards the New North Devon ground a change for the better has lately taken place in the appearance of the quartz, and yesterday good dabs ot gold were seen when breaking it down. The reef is now lying in a good class of country for gold, and the manager is in hopes that he will come across something good.
