Verrall r. Tookey.—Claim, £23 lls. Judgment confessed, and costs £2 14s allowed.

Barly v. Hicks.—Action to recover £13 16s 3d for board and lodging. The defendant admitted the debt* but pleaded inability to pay until he could get work. Judgment was given for amount claimed, and costs. Schofield and Moore v. Encoe. —Claim, 18s 6d. Judgment confessed. Plant v. Callan.—Claim, £22 8s sd. Adjourned for 14 days; owing to absence of defendant in Auckland. Mulligan v. O'Snllivan.—Claim, £1 2s 6d. Owing to insufficient service the case was adjourned for 14 days. Sawyer v. McGeehan. —Action for £15, value of a horse, saddle, and bridle, belonging to the plaintiff which had been entrusted to the defendant for grazing purposes. Judgment was given for amount claimed, to be reduced to one shilling if the property is returned.

Depended Case, hornb v. dix. Claim, £3 3s.>

Mr Campbell appeared for thedefendant, who statedMhat he had paid £2 2s Bd. He admitted owing the balance. The case was adjourned until half past two o'clock to allow plaintiff to produce his books.

On resuming the plaintiff produced his account books.

Judgment was given for-the claim, less 7a, an amount in dispute, and 7s costs— in all £3 3s.
