Notwithstanding the unfavorable state of; the. weather t&ere was a large turn out. -Forty-eight took the oath in the; Artillery *" Company, and forty- seven in the Eifles. Many others have yet to be,sworn in to both corps, together-with the garrison band. , The townjustices were kept going for two hours enrolling the men.
