Mr Bell, a Kamo Justice of the Peace, was bound over to keep the peace for six months, for calling Dr Vance a loafer.

After 4.30 yesterday at the Hamilton Trial, Robert Burgees deposed that Hamilton went into the York Hotel at a quarter past eleven quite sober. Davidson, the licensee, also said Hamilton was sober, but appeared dull next morning ; After he heard that Hamilton was dead, Mrs Hamilton said she had a. terrible job in the night with him, and twice changed his shirt. Other evidence unimportant. 12 witnesses wore examined altogether yesterday. There are 25 more.
