Letters received by the Australian mail yesterday state that among the passengers saved by swimming at the wreck of the steamer New England, at the Clarence River Heads, Sydney, was the Rev. W. J. Watkin, the principal of the Three Kings Institution, Auckland, and his father, the Rev. W. Watkin.
