This day. A Gazette issued last night contains a notice revoking the notification made in 1871, aqd extending the jurisdiction; of the Besident Magistrate's Court from £50 as at present to £100.
Mr Charles Abior is appointed public auditor under the Friendly Societies Act, 1872. .

public domain, and several gentlemen in the .district appointed to manage it. The Gazette also notifies that the Volunteer Kegulations of 1874 continue good until the Ist January nest, after which'date the new rules will be in force.
