The criminal sessions opened this morning before Justice Gillies. The calender is very light, eight prisoners against whom there ten charges. Six of the prisoners are natives. A. young man named Ebenezer Reed was drowned yesterday while bathing. Mrs Hampson held a service last night in the theatre building, which was crowded to suffocation, and several people had to be carried out fainting.
