OUR MINES.
NEW PRINCE IMPERIAL
Aa error occurred in our issue of last night in the second telegram despatched by the mine manager. It should have read that 4cwt. of specimens had been obtained from the leading stope, So. 2 section, west, instead of 2c wt. This would make the day's haul from- that place alone 9cwt. of specimens. A few pounds of good picked stone came to hand yesterday when breaking down in the drive towards the Southern Cross at No. 4 level, and between 20 and 30lbs of specimen and picked stone were also bagged last night in continuing the second stope in No. 1 section west. THAMES DEEP LEVEL TRIBUTE. The work of cleaning up the south drive at the 640 ft. level is proceeding satisfactorily, and the manager expects to be able to get up to the face by Tuesday or Wednesday next. The country is draining, and the pumps though working much slower are keeping the water down easily. GOLD RETURNS. Aibuektia. —Ross and party have crushed 6|lbs stone for the return of 6ozs gold. .
