AUCKLAND MARKETS.
The kauri gum market has been prelty active daring the week, and prices for both ' ordinary and East Coast sorts are firmer. As much a* £15 was. paid in a few instances for tut former, and £52 for the Utter, at the beginning* of the week, while in others only £41 for the former, and £50 for tbe Utter has been paid. We, therefore, quote for ordinary (turn from £42,t0 £44, und for Bast Coast, £51 per. ton. The receipts for the month to d«te amount to 350 tons In breadstuffs there bas been the u»ual ordinary demand, atprioes as last quoted. Favorable advices regarding Auckland flour continue to be received from. Sydney.. We understand that large shipments will be made by the next Sydney steamer. The grain nsarket is f enerau> easier..: Tbe recent large •bipmenta of oats have over-stocked the market, and prices, though not quotably low r, •re very weak. Maize is firming, and is worth from 4s 9d to 6s per bushel.—Herald.
