A PPLICATION has been made to me A by Joseph Pfaeck for t c New Eurtka Gold Mining Company, for permission to construct a Water Race for mining purposes, commencing at a point eighteen chains above the junction of the Otunui and | Mangakirikiri Creek?, and terminating at a ■ point four chains below the said junction, as I shown on plan. The length of such race ib | twenty-two chains or thereabouts, and its inj tended course is north and south. The I mean breadth and depth of puch race is three feet by two feet; it is capable of j carrying five sluice-heads of water, and the number of sluice-bfads, of forty inches each, which it is proposed to appropriate is five. Shaw for permission to construct a Water Pace for .mining purposes, commencing at a point two and a half miles above junction.of Ohinemuri and Waitawheta Rivers, and terminating at a point about one mile above junction, as shown on plan. The length of such Race is about a mile and a hnlf, and it.3 intended course is westerly. The moan breadth, and dep.th of such Rare is three feet by two feet; Uia capable of carrying ten sluice-heads of water, and the number of sluice-Vieads, of forty inches each, which it is proposed to appropriate, is ten.
