Theßaokof New Zealand's forty-second half-yearly meeting was held to-day. The Directors' report shows the net profit for the half-year, after making allowance for the doubtful debts, &cV, to be £98,92117s 9d, to which has to be added the balance from last half year, V£11,00312s 2d, making £109,925 9s lls/whlch it is recommended to appropriate as follows: Dividend at the rate ot 10 per cent; per annum, £50,000; bonus 6s per share, equal to five per cent, £25,000 ; addition to reserve fund, £25,C0!3; balance to profit and loss new account, £9,925 9a lid. 1 The following is a statement of assets and liabilities:—Liabilities! and capital paid up, £l,COO,C0O; reserve, £575,000; notes in circulation, £523,428 j-« bills in circulation,, £1,781,411 6s 8d; » deposits and oth'sr liabilities, £7,775,365 16s 8d; balance, £109,925 9s lid ; total, £11,765,130 13s '3d.
