This day, James Rutherford, member tor Brace, met about 300 constituents at Miltou lust night. The meeting on the whole, was very favorably disposed towards .. the member, although a feeling appeared to exist that he had favored one portion of the district orer others in regard to the construction of roads, and should have Toted for Mr Thomson's appointment as Chairman of Committees. He explained his action on these two points minutely, and in the course of his remarks spoke yery favorably of the Government. A vote of thanks.and confidence was carried, by a large majority. : • " " A large number of entries for the Rifle Meeting are .received daily. It is feared the boarding accommodation will be limited.
