KARANGAHAKE.
[fbom a correspondent.]
. From the amount of pegging off going on ia this locality lately the gap between it and Te Aroba will soon close. The late discoveries made by Messrs Marrinan and Shaw, on the.northern side of the trig, station, is the principal attraction at present, and not without cause, as the above party have a really good show in a reef four feet wide, which they have traced and opened on in several place? through their ground. . Messrs Corbett and Goonan, from Waitefeauri, have taken up two leases adjoining,, and applied for a water-race and machine site about a mile above the present battery. From present appearances the long-despised Karanga hake is destined to rival some of its more pretentious neighbors before long.
