QUEEN OF BEAUTY. Between 6 and 7 o'clock last evening, the crank pin connecting the main shaft with the large rod working the pumps broke. Fortunately the engineer was I just coming in the door when the accident j occurred, and he immediately stopped the turbine and engine, happily before any serious damage had been done. The turbine suffered slightly, several bolts being broken. Messrs Price Bros.' employees fitted in a new pin to-day, and the manager expected to start pumping some time to-night. Work has of course been stopped at No. 9 and in the stopes,. but the water will probably be reduced by Friday at latest. GOLD EETUBNS.
