The gold medal which Messrs Joubert and Twopenny had struck off for presentation to Jtier Majesty the Queen,- to celebrate the opening of the Christchurch Exhibition, was sent home by His Excellency the Governor and presented to Her Majesty by Earl Eimberley, from whom a despatch has been received conveying an expression of thanks from the Queen to the promoters of the Exhibition.
