At the R.M. Court yesterday Mr Traffprd, dentist, sued Mr Adams, publican, for eight guineas teeth supplied to his wife. The case turned on the husband's liability. A long argument ensued^ were artificial teeth necessities or luxuries. Plaintiff was non-suited on technical points.

Hatives not Bribed by Barlow. Sergt. McGovern has completed his investigation re Barlow. Tv Tawhiao denied having received money or anything else as a bribe, and accounted for Barlow's watch being in his possession in the same manner that Barlow accounted for the circumstance in Auckland. He denied having seen either Wahanui or Whitiora since the end of J.nsfc month, or having made any statement with respect to shots being fired by Barlow. Pahupahi., also maintained the same as originally; Denied having taken money from Barlow and stated positively r the shots were fired from the left of where all these were standing. McGovern then took an interpreter and visited Wananui, who stated he had not seen Te Tawhiao since May, and had not spoken to him about the shooting, nor had; Tv Tawhiao or Pahupahu confessed to him that they had been bribed by Barlow as stated. Whitiora, it seems, has not been in the district for some time. Other natives who were said i.to have spread the report about Barlow having fired the shots and bribed Tv Tawhiao and Pahupahu denied all knowledge of the affair.
