The A.J.C. Spring Meeting.

Sydney, September 5. The second dayjs racing of the Australian Jockey. Club's spring meeting took,. place to-day. The weather was fiae/'and ' the attendance of visitors very large. His Excellency Lord Loft us and suite were again present during the day. The race for the Spring Maiden Stakes, 1| miles, - resulted as follows :—Hecla, 1; Saimora, '• , 2; Eva, 3. Sting was a strong favorite at the start; the running was made by, Harebell and Brunette, who led the field until tha home tarn was reached,, when Coniefc, Sting, Britisher, Proctor and Kingsworth ,„,. appeared most prominent. down.
