Sib,—-My attention has bsen called to the following paragraph contained in the telegraphic column of your issue of the 29th ult..—"A writ has been serred by Mr Allan O'JNeili, solicitor, of ..Hamilton on Mr T. C. Hammond, of Hamilton, for alleged malicious prosecution. Amount claimed as damages, £1,000." ,; As: I'hare many friends amongst your readers, will you allow me to-correct this by,stating that the writ alluded to was - served by Mr Allan William .O'Neill, solicitor, of Auckland, upon Mr Edward Wayte, late stationer, Auckland—that the damage is £500—and that the writ war semd at the suit of—Yours, &c, xt v a i. , T« C Hammond. Hamilton, September 2,1882.
