London, September 4. Rioting in Dublin. Further serious rioting took place in Dublin last evening, and some difficulty was experienced in restoring order. The military were again called out to clear the streets, and in several cases they were compelled to charge the mob with fixed bayonets.
[Special to Auckland Stab.] London, September 4. The steamer Lakepigeon has been wrecked at Arklow. The frozen meat per the Lusitania averaged s£d per lb. At the wool sales to-day, prices for good merinos and fine crossbreds have slightly improved. There is no alteration for the inferior sorts. The conference of miners at Manchester approved of a general strike in October. Two thousand Orangemen have offered themselves as special constable to preserve the peace in Ireland.
