A Battle—Arabi Repulsed.

An attack was made on Monday night by Arabi with the whole of his available force upon the British position at Eassassain, a lock on the fresh water canal, which was occupied by a force of the British cavalry on the26th inst. Repeated assaults were made by the enemy, who were, however, repulsed with heavy loss, and eleven guns were captured by the British. Our loss during the engagement was 120 killed and wounded.
