Naval Brigade Prize Firing.
The Nayals competed at the range on Saturday, in two squads, being the usual quarterly competition for the Darling Cup. The weather was rather unfarorable for good scores, the wind in the morning being baffling and requiring good judgment to keep on the target, whilst in the afternoon it was blowiug rery hard from the rear. P.O. W. Armstrong succeeds on this occasion in carrying off the Cup, with the fair score of 80 points, being tied by Seaman J. Floyd, the last winner, with a like score, but P.O. Arm~ strong making the largest score at the long range wins the tie. This is the third time Mr Armstrong has scored a win of the Cup. The ranges were 200, 403, and 500 yards ; 7 shots at each range.
