THE LATEST.
ALEXANDBIA, August 27
Since the attack upon Ramses and the occupation of the position by British troops, no further military movement has been made by Sir Garnet Wolseley. Intelligence is to hand that a large force of the enemy is still at Kafradowar, where the work of entrenching is being further vigorously proceeded with. News has also been received from Port Said that Arabi's army has been largely reinforced, and it is expected that they intend to make an attack on the Port. More officers of Arabi's army have deserted, and the enemy's ranks are daily becoming weaker.
Alexandbia, Aug. 27.—Lateb,
All is quiet in front of Sir Garnet Wolseley's position at Ramses, and nothing has been seen of the enemy since the recent engagement. British cavalry on Saturday occupied Kassassoin, a lock on the Sweetwater Canal, between Cairo and Ismailia.
