WELLINGTON.
This day. Specimens of quartz from the Golden Crown ojaim, Tmrftwhiti, have been ana-
lysed by Dr Hector. The yield of gold in •aloulated upon the ton, and was found to be Bozs 2dwts 12grs, and is of fair quality for the reef, the gold being worth about £3 5s per ounce. Drs Hector and Lemon* and Mr Jones, engineer of the Albion Mining Co., have gone to Terawhiti to inspect the claims.
