The manager telegraphed to the direc« tors as follows today:—"Obtained24lbs specimens from bottom level.—Geobge Black, manager." Crushing is now proceeding at the mill on company's dirt. SMILE OF FORTUNE (OWHAEOA. The manager brought to town to-day the gold resulting from last month's operations at the mine. 250 tons of dirt were put through the mill for the satisfactory return of 292|ozs of retorted gold. Crushing operations are still being continued with every prospect of further yields of a like character. RADICAL (OWHAEOA). Eeid and party, tributers in the above mine, put through the Smile of Fortune | battery 12 tons of quartz, obtained by driving on their leader, for a return of 7ozs of gold. This party have not reached the expected run of gold. GOLD EETUENS. Hapb Cheek. —Mr Greenville has completed the crushing of a (rial lot for the return of 4ozs Idwt gold. Moanataiki.—Thomas and party and Hodge and parly have finished crushings for the respective returns of loz Bdwts, and sozs lidwts gold.
