Mr Edmond Dwyer Gray, M.P. for Carlow County; and proprietor of the Fresman's Journal, has been senlencrd to 3 months imprisonment, arid to pay a fine of £500, for publishing certain articles reflecting upon the judges and jurymen who were engaged in trying the recent case of agrarian murder. Australians v. Derby. The cricket match, Australians v. Derbyshire, was resumed at Derby to day. The weather was fine, acd there was.a large attendance.; The Australians continued fiei? first innings which finally closed for a totil of 180—51 behirfd their opponents. In addition to the score already telegraphed, Hor^n, was ciught for 24. The Home team Wtyfit in for their second innjngs, and; We're all disposed of for 78. The Australians requiring 130 runs to win went in again, and when time was called had pat together 71 for the loss of five wickets. Bannerman ("cf 24, aad Murdoch (b) 32 were highest scorers. The match was drawn, the Australians haying. 39 to make and fire wickets to fall. The ground was not in good order.

Indian budget, said it would probably show a surplus of three millions. The salt duty is to be reduced, and the cotton duty abolished. The demonstration at Dublin is entirely of a political nature. The Lord Mayor unveiled the O'Connell monument, and then at the head of a procession of 40,000 persons, proceeded to open the"Exhibi« tion. The continuance of the Zulu military system and organisation has been prohibited by the English Government. Dublin is quiet.
