Grey's Affirmation Bill provides—ln all eases where an oath or affidavit is required to be taken or made respectively the following affirmation shall be substituted in lieu thereof:—Do trnly affirm and - declare that, and every person required, authorised, or qualified by any Act of law in force in New Zealand or otherwise to take or administer such an oath, shall permit and accept the affirmation or declara* . tion aforesaid. Whitaker's Savings Bank Amendment Bill provides: —In relation to Savings Bank established under the provisions of " The Savings Bank Act, 1858." the following provisions shall take effect from and after the parsing of this Act:—Deposits of money may be received on behalf of the trustees by the manager or accountant of any Savings Bank, and the presence of any trustee at the time shall not be necessary. Ihe Governor shall from time to time appoint fit and proper persons to audit the account of any such Savings Ban If, and may remove any auditor so appointed ; the trustees of snch Savings Bank may cause any portion of the funds of such Bank with the approval of the Governor to be invested in any debenture of whatever sort issued within ttj?coiony under the authority of any Act of the General Assembly.
