The Dunedin Herald says Driver and Captain MoKenzie entered into an agreement with Ministers that in consideration of their support on the no confidence motion, the Loan Bill schedule should be altered by taking £50,000 off the Otago central vote and applying it to the construction of lines from Riversdale, Waimea Plains, to Switzers, and Kelso to Gore.
