QUEEN OE BEAUTY. The repairs to the turbine were finished early this inormag^and some of Messrs Price Bros.' eikp3pj^ss were engaged today in getting it into position. The manager thinks this will be finished some time on Monday, and pumping will then be started at an increased speed. It will thus be well on in the week before the bottom level is dry. At the mill crashing is proceeding on quartz from No. 8 level and a parcel from the New Prince Imperial tributers. NEW NORTH DEVON. The discovery of McLean's leader has had a good effect upon Devon shares, and a day or two ago they were in demand at 2s. No work is going on at present in the mine, but the level being driven by the Alburnia will open up a road for the Devon Company to prospect a portion of their mine which has hitherto lain idle. The distance from the Devon boundary to McLean's workings is about 300 feet. GOLD RETURNS. Pinapobe.—Hickey and party have crushed 14 loads of general dirt for the splendid return of S4ozs 6dwts gold. Kubanui Hill. —Hawkins and party have banked Bozs 17dwts gold. Hape Cbeek.—McKirdy and party have crushed two or three loads at the Alburnia mill for oozs lldwts gold.
