''■■: Pliis day. A four roomed cottage at Newiown was destroyed by fire at 6 o'clock this morning. The place was unoccupied. The fire originated through the owner of the house who resides next door, and was cutting firewood inside, knocking over the kerosene lamp. The house was insured for £100 in the South British. The loss is estimated at £50 above that amount.
