The Public Petitions Committee report in the case of Thomas Spencer, John Flett, and Philip James Perry, of the Thames : —^It appears from evidence before the committee that the petitioners have been deprived of their reparian rights without ', compensation by Acts of the Legislature entitled tbe Thames Water Supply Act, 1876, andtheThames Water Supply Transfer Act, 1880.. The committee are of opinion that the Borough Council of the Thames should be invited to consider the claims of the petition upon equitable grounds, and,, failing any favorable compromise being arrived at, the committee recommend . the Government to invite the Legislature ; to pass an,A.ct to restore tbe rights of the petitioners.
