Thisday,
At the Supreme Court Eliza Watten, for larceny, received 3 years. Henry Lees pleaded guilty to uttering his fathers name to a cheque and was sentenced to one month without hard labor. Chas. Walking and Andrew Nelson were each sentenced to one month without bard Vc)abour for forging Hennessy's labels to tyrandy bottled by them. The brandy seized was ordered to be forfeited.
At the City Court the police brought up a young woman with three children all of whom are destitute. It has transpired that they hate been in the colony 7 months, having been sent for by their friends, who are no longer able to keep them. The Bench committed the children to the Industrial School.
