This day.

Information has been received by the Customs Department from the officer in charge of customs at Foxton, that the kelch Elizabeth, with 17 tons of coal and coke from Wellington to Foxton, went ashore at three a.m. to day, about seven miles south of the entrance to the Manawatu river. All hands were saved, and the vessel is not damaged. The captain expects to be able to re-launch her after discharging her t argo.
