To-morrow Mr Cadman will ask Govern* ment if they will cause an inquiry to be made into the present unsatisfactory state of things existing in the North between sawiniil owners, bush contractors, and bushmen, with a view to amend "The Contractors Debt Act, 1871." so as to protect bushmen from being defrauded of their wages by unscrupulous contractors.
