DUNEDIN.

This day. The City of Perth was taken into the graying dock to-day. The only part which at present appears damaged is the stern. About twenty feet of her rudder was carried away, and the kelson and keel, together with fire plates from the keel upwards, are completely torn away. Apart from this she seems in good condition.

A large sum was collected on Saturday for the assistance of the victims of the fire. Captain Kitchener and the infant "are dangerously ill. At the inquest, a verdict of accidental death was re tamed. The jury expressed the opinion that Constable Dwyer is deserving praise for his exertions to save life.
