The bazaar in aid of the new Catholic Church has already realised £600, and and £150 more is expected.
Mr Gordon, one of the defeated candidates for Franklyn North, has been summoned for neglecting to supply a list of the scrutineers, etc., employed oy him during the election. The court reserved judgment. At the Police Court this morning Donald Watson, brewer, was fined £20 and costs, £23, for neglecting to date beer duty stamps. Several, publicans were fined 20s and costs for neglecting to efface beer duty stamps. Two or three of the prosecutions fell through, and the Customs' solicitor gave notice of appeal.
