The official declaration of the poll for Wakanui to-day was:—Watson 455, Ivess 435, Purnell 74. All the candidates addressed those present. Ivess said he did not consider himself defeated. He would carry the matter in the Electoral Court, and would not acknowledge defeat until the Court had shewn its decision on the election.
