CALOGRAMS.

[Reuteb's Special.]

London; December 5

It is officially announced that the appointment of G. W. J. Lendall to the Lieutenant-Governorship of Natal has been cancelled by Government, who thus accede to the wishes of -Natal colonists, and it is further announced that in providing a successor to Sir Evelyn Wood the Government will appoint a full Governor of the Colony instead of Lieutenant Governor as in the past, thus still further meeting the views of the colonists as recently experienced.

An official statement has been published to the effect that Sir Garnet Woolsley, at present Quartermaster-General, will in April next succeed General Sir C. H. Ellice as Adjutant-General of Forces.
