This day.
Titokowaru was ordered to find two securities in £500 each, to keep the peace for twelve months. In the meantime he will be kept in" gaol , till he finds securities.
Titokowaru was brought up at the Police Court this^ morning and charged by Thds. Lloyd; hotel keeper at Manaia, with having, on the 12th' October, used threatening words to the effect that he would burn down the hotel and murder the women and children, and that he would set fire to Manaift^; also, with saying, at Fort Eolleston, iferihaka, " Do you think my people; wpuld run away from such a lot of meu as you have! brought here; have the Europeans forgotten Turuturumokai and Te Ngatateo manu (or, day will yet come)," or words to that effect. Mr iStandish appeared for the prosecution, and applied to have Titokowaru bound over to; keep the peace. The^ase is now proceeding. '
