This day. The Canterbury Volunteers returned from the front yesterday evening, and were warmly welcomed by a large crowd of people.
(FBOM A CORRESPONDENT.) Cokomandel, This day. In the Warden's Court this morning, in the case Mining Inspector, v. Union Beach Goldmining Company, suing for forfeiture for non- work ing, a fine of £100 was inflicted in lieu of forfeiture. The money was paid.
