The Standard today publishes a tele* gram from "Natal, stating that Mowach, one of the leading chiefs in Lydenbu, a district of Transvaal republic, ha 3 declared war against the Bores, and that hostilities may shortly be expected. Alexandbia, November 16. The Cholera.
News is to hand from Arabia that the cholera has now broken out at Djiddah aD important seaport on the Red Sea, sixty miles west of Mecca where the epidemic has been raging for some time past. A number of deaths have already, occurred at Djiddah and the mortality at Mecca is stated to be daily increasing.
A blue-book has been issued containing documents and despatches in regard to Egyptian affairs. Amongst the latter is a despatch by Earl Granville to Mr E. B. Malet, C.8., British Minister at Cairo, in which the Foreign Secretary points out that the aim of the policy of England in I'egard to Egypt is solely to promote the prosperous condition and liberty of that country. . To that end His Lordship especially urges the necessity for the vigorous prosecution of certain needful reforms. Earl Granville 'concludes by eulogising the efforts already made by Cher if Pasha, the recently appointed President of the Egyptian Council of Ministers, to strengthen the tie between Egypt and the Porte, which His Lordship is of opmioß will be &e-.beat safeguard

Priuco Bismarck had an interview yesterday with His Majesty the Emperor. It has since transpired that perfect harmony prevails between the Emperor and the Chancellor, with regard to the home policy of the German Empire. It is now definitely understood that the Prince will not resign.
