TE AROHA.
[fbom a cojbbespondent.]
There is nothing new from the diggings and the only excitement is caused by the numerous attempts to jump claims. There will be a large amount of litigation after the Warden's last decision here.
Shares in the Canadian are up at £100, and the same price is mentioned for a share in the Diamond Gully, near the New Find or Prospectors'. They obtained some fine gold in the Diamond Gully last week—gold of such a superior quality that it will not be orer estimating its Talue when I say it is worth fully £3 10s or £3 15s per ounce. I feel convinced there are going to be some splendid claims up here, and in fact many people have not the faintest idea of the bright prospects of this field.
