This day. The Criminal sitting of the Supreme Court concluded late last evening, when Walter Stannard for horse stealing at Hawera was sentenced to three years' imprisonment with hard labour, iv two cases, sentences to run concurrently. George Fuliere for obtaining goods under false pretences was found not guilty, but on a charge of passing a fraudulent cheque he was found guilty, and sentenced to six months imprisonment with hard labor.
