Tliis day. The Zealandia with the outward 'Frisco mails has arrived at the Heads. Morgan and stepson, and W. McDonald were drowned yesterday by the capsizing of a boat at Whangarei Heads. A twelve-roomed house, occupied by Sloane, Symouds street, was burned down. The inmates escaped by jumping from the window. The tire origiuated in the kitchen, but the cause is unknown. Dr J^oueyinau's house, adjacent, was saved by the great i xertions of the Fire Brigade. [ Sloaue's house was insured for £800 in the Colonial, aud furniture for £200 in the Standard.
