Having This Day been Nominated as a Candidate for the Bepresenta tion of the Ohinetnuri Biding in the Thames County Council, I hare the honor to request your Votes and Interest. I will endeavor to have a fair share of the revenue of the colony expended in the Ohinemuri district, and especial attention paid to the construction of the main or trunk Hues of road—a matter of the greatest consequence to the ratepayers. I am in favor of the Gold Duty being expended in the district that produces the gold from which it is received. I am in favor of having all works done by bona fide contractors and all overlookers and bosses discharged. I am in favor of the Engineering being tendered for and paid by commission, and if assistants are required, the engineer inch a rge to pay such. I also pledge myself to use my best endeavours, if returned, to give to all the pioneer settlers assistance in having roeds made ; the first to come should be the first to be served. My interests in matters Agricultural and Mining are identical with your own, aud if I am returned my best services are at your disposal.
