. The report of Mr Julian Salamons, Q.C, the Royal Commissioner Appointed to enquire into the Milburn Creek Copper Miue affair, has issued his report. It finds that Messrs Garnet (sic), Waddell, and Russell were guilty of bribery aud corruption, and further that a sum of £4500 was appropriated by Mr Baker, formerly Minister of Mines, and Messrs Waddell andy Matbieson. Garrett has demanded, and Sir Henry Par kes, Premier, has promised to institute a further enquiry. The report of the Commissioner has caused a great sensation here. Mblboubne, Friday. The debate on Ramsay's motion is still proceeding in the Assembly, and a division will take place on Tuesday next.
The trial of Thorp, late teller of the Bank ot Victoria, for embezzlemeut is proceeding. Further irregularities have been disclosed in evidence.
An injunction has been granted in the Supreme Court calling upon Commodore Wilson to show cause why he should not be committed lor contempt of Court for ordering the re-arrest of Bandsman Yates, after he had been previously discharged by Judge Hifcginbotham on the ground that he could not be treated as a deserter.

News is to band from the Islands reporting that the trading schooner Atlantic while visiting ihe Solomon group, was attacked by natives in a most determined manner. A desperate fight took place between tue orew of the vessel and the Islanders, during which several of the Kanakas composing the crew were killed, but the natives were finally beaten off.
